AUGUST & SEPTEMBER HUMBER JUNIOR NEWS WHERE DO WE START! I hope this mentions all participants. Humber juniors are now making a BIG impact on the county, regional and national scene. AUGUST saw the start of the season again. Yusef Forster still only 11 years old came 22nd in the very strong Wycliffe U13 event. The top 28 in England competed here. Sam Haycock (15) started his under 17 career finishing number 30, just missing out in a very close 5 setter to achieving top 20 position. Charlotte Kirkwood now in girls under 19 section finished a fantastic 7th. SEPTEMBER saw the regional, Doncaster and county tournaments. REGIONAL'S we had winners in U11 girls Lucy Soulby and U19 girls Charlotte Kirkwood and U19 boys James Earles. As well as the 3 outright winners we had runner up in the girls U13s Millie Soulby, semi finalist boys U13 Yusef Forster. Quarter finalist in the boys U17s was Farouk Forster and Sam Haycock. Zoe Kaiser and Charlotte Fish got to the quarter finals of the girls U13s, Charlotte eventually finishing 5th with Zoe 6th. Other notable performances came from James Crowther, Aisha Forster, Sarah Findley, Thomas Earles, James Robinson and Nathan Kaiser. Ben Robinson caused a big upset in opening round putting out one of the seeds, before going out in the quarters. DONCASTER. A new event on the circuit saw Yusef Forster continue his excellent form getting to the final of the boys u13. James Crowther was also finalist in the boys U11. Charlotte Fish was just piped in the final of the girls U13. Creditable performances were put in by Alex Dunn and Matty Craven, Matthew Fish and Farouk Forster. YORKSHIRE. Yusef Forster seeded 1 boys U13 went out in round 1 to the eventual finalist eventually finishing 5th. Ben Robinson again excelled reaching the semi finals. Farouk Forster was close to reaching the quarter finals. Nathan Kaiser showed great promise in his first month as U17. Again James Robinson, Matty Craven, James Crowther and Alex Dunn performed well in their respective groups. Charlotte Kirkwood got the the final of the girls U19s with Millie Soulby losing a very close final in the girls U13s. Zoe Kaiser and Charlotte Fish again could hardly be separated in the girls U13 with Charlotte this time finishing just above Zoe in 5th place. Girls u11 saw Aisha Forster and Sarah Findley play some excellent squash to finish 4th and 5th respectively. On top of these fantastic tournament successes we have now had call-ups for the county and regional and national training squads. See below our stars of the future. We hope they continue to progress and look forward to the next stars of the future.
